WISDOM OF THE CELTIC TRADITION
Key Principles, Mentors & References for BECOMING ANAMCARA
• IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY
The ancient Celts realized that “An Anamcara (a seeker of sacred relationship) never goes it alone.” Though relationship begins with our own soul/self, it is equally important that we live in sacred relationship with the communities we find ourselves in. Throughout the BECOMING ANAMCARA formation, apprentices regularly meet with other fellow seekers in Circles of Trust©, called in the Celtic Tradition Ceile De (Circles of Soul Friends). As our mentor, Parker Palmer says, “In true community we do not choose our companions, our companions will be given to us by grace.”
