Stan here. This article goes into roles: the role of the forgetter is not necessarily the role of the non compis mentis one. We like to navigate between and connect the various roles over an extended period of time to make life & death decisions. ~ Canada's MAiD law has 2 parts: Physician administered medication and actual suicide in the presence of a physician when the patient takes the medicine her/himself. For me having a loved one (or myself) self administer would help me know that the decision is congruent as possible. My thoughts. ~ Ciao, Stan
